"Районы Таллина" 2003

"Tallinn districts"  60x70 cm. Oil on canvas. 2003. In the centre, the artist ironically placed a cartoonish and implausible image of the city's tourist centre. The periphery depicts the houses and streets of the non-tourist part of the city. Cosy and old neighbourhoods among which the author grew up.  The painting is unique in that many of the buildings depicted by the artist in the collage no longer exist.
